Peer Review Process

All manuscripts submitted to the Journal of Health Matters (JoHM) undergo a double-blind peer review process. Both authors and reviewers remain anonymous during the review to ensure objectivity.

The review process consists of the following steps:

  1. Initial Screening – The editorial team evaluates the manuscript for scope, formatting, and plagiarism check (similarity index <25%).

  2. Peer Review – Suitable manuscripts are sent to at least two independent reviewers with expertise in the relevant field.

  3. Review Decision – Based on reviewers’ comments, the editor may decide:

    • Accept without revision

    • Accept with minor revisions

    • Require major revisions for resubmission

    • Reject

  4. Revision and Resubmission – Authors must revise their manuscripts according to reviewers’ and editors’ feedback.

  5. Final Decision – The Editor-in-Chief makes the final decision after revisions are reviewed.

The JoHM is committed to a fair, transparent, and timely review process, aiming to provide authors with constructive feedback to improve their manuscripts.
