Abstract

Stunting is a condition of impaired growth in children under five years of age due to chronic malnutrition, resulting in a child being too short for their age. This study aims to provide an overview of Nutritional Education (Complementary Feeding/MP-ASI) on mothers’ knowledge regarding stunted children in the working area of Air Itam Health Centre, Pangkalpinang, in 2025. The research method used is descriptive, utilizing a case study design focused on Nursing Care for Stunted Children at the Air Itam Health Centre. The nursing approach involved three visits per child; each diagnosed with the same problem — stunting accompanied by nutritional deficits. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results revealed improvements following nursing care, including increased body weight, improved food portion consumption, better eating frequency, and enhanced appetite. Child M’s weight before the intervention was 7,5 kilograms to 7,9 kilograms and the portion of food consumed also increased from 3-4 spoons to 6 spoons and child W’s weight from 5,7 kilograms to 6 kilograms, the portion of food consumed also increased from 2-4 spoons to 6 spoons. It can be concluded that the primary nursing problem in stunted children, nutritional deficit, can be improved through nutritional education (MP-ASI).
